iSirona SmartAdapter

The iSirona SmartAdapter™ enables connectivity to virtually any stationary, mobile or non-networked medical device via the hospital’s existing wireless network. Physically attached to the medical device, the SmartAdapter extracts and securely transmits device data to iSirona’s DeviceConX™ for delivery to clinical information systems.

Simplifying installation, the SmartAdapter automatically locates DeviceConX, configures itself and begins capturing data once attached to the device. The SmartAdapter queues data, guaranteeing delivery, when the device is out of network range or during network outages. Available late 2008, the SmartAdapter will provide secure, reliable delivery of data from connected devices.
